gamecube help please

hi, long story but here goes, i bought my daughter a second hand gamecube from gamestation, i set it up on her portable tv in her room, but cant seem to get in tuned in, i then swapped her tv for her brothers which is set to the ps2, daughters tv works fine with ps2 on av, gamecube still wont work on ps2 tv....soooo i then set it up on MY TV, WHICH sucessfully runs cable,ps2 and my dvd, still no luck, am i doing wrong or is the gamecube faulty? av just shows black screen? ive never had a nintendo so im clueless? yes all connections are secure, game installed and powers on , please help its very frustrating for my daughter :(

it should come up instantly on av setting .must be faulty they shoud have tested it when it was brought in to them.

yes we have 4 games, tried all, im very puzzled!

it's faulty... Setup the ps2 then switch over the scart connector for the ps2 with the gamecube one (obviously with the gamecube power on). if the screen stays black then it's definately faulty.

I'm sure Gamestation will swop over immediately. The branch here test everything coming in, but the cubes have been sitting a long time in store these days

yes they are not widely seen in many shops anymore, i got a great deal and as its for a 6 year old thought i'd would be a great starter!, i'll pop into town tomorow with it, thanks all for your help :)

all fixed! it was a dodgy scart connector!! d'oh!!! thanks all :):)
