only risk I reckon is if you both use the downloaded maps at the same time. Have read numerous reports of people getting banned

What is the risk?

FYI:

...if you have sub-accounts for your kids, you may also not wish the "sharer" to know their names or their dates of birth either.

It's possible.

Why you'd want to share with a complete stranger though is beyond me.

Me too... but you do see requests to do so between members here (& elsewhere) regularly.

The Moderators now close the threads if they are spotted.

make sure you remove you credit card details.. as they may go on a spending spree!!!

I've done it with friends before. I wouldn't do it with people I'd never met though, and I'd definitely remove my card details.

...anybody who has access to your PlayStation Network password can log-in to the PlayStation.com site(s)/blog(s)/forum(s) & post a comment as you (that may result in you being banned completely from PlayStation Network, depending on the content of the text).

Also, any entitlement you have to subscriptions or (Closed/Private) Beta test content is also available to the other party.

Some downloadable content is not able to be shared on "up to five activated" consoles. If the other party downloads an item to their own console you may find that you can no longer use it unless your user name/password combination is concurrently stored on the other person's console.

As soon as you change your password (after "taking back" ownership of your own details) then the "game sharing" may no longer function as intended.

Needless to say you are also in violation of the terms & conditions of usage of PlayStation Network so if it is discovered you are engaging in this activity both of the parties are likely to be banned.

BFN,

fp sums it up for me. If you dont have much to loose and are desperate for some games your friend has then go for it, but with a stranger is a big risk and you will most likely be getting paranoid about what they are doing on your account.

How much are games these days, just buy them, look around probably get some good deals on them.
