I have had confirmation from the wife of a Gamestation store manager down South that the sale will be starting tomorrow on Xmas Eve this year, so if anyone is after a late deal on games then head on down to your local store.

May apply to Game also, but not confirmed.

I ain't going nowhere tomorrow :)

Their prices might be more reasonable then than the extortionate prices they and Game (same company) charge then. ;)
#3
Probably still cheaper on their websites which their own stores won't pricematch!!?!!

I love Game/Gamestation and Blockbuster for their brainstorm of charging more for the Pre-Owned than they sell the new one for. ;)

Blockbuster had GT5 for £37.95 pre-owned. Amazing how they get away with that.

GAME, Gamestation, & Gameplay's respective (online) sales started last Christmas Eve.

I still haven't got around to opening some of the items I bought last year because the prices were too good to turn down.

(Still paying off my credit card as well... there is a lesson there if you look for it!) :)

Yep I can grasp the concept of selling items online is cheaper than selling items in store, but there are plenty of other stores in the UK that will price match their own Website. Surely it's better to make the sale than the customer going elsewhere.

From last year, or this year? Quoting from last year would be pretty pointless now, but here you go...

Batman: Arkham Asylum Collectors Edition [includes 14" Batarang with stand, Arkham Doctor’s Journal, 2 Sleeve Digi-pack, including: Game disc, Behind-the-scenes DVD, Code for downloadable Challenge Map, Exclusive “Crime Alley” map, available immediately, Full-color Manual] was £59.99 on 23/12/2009; bought at £31.98 (it subsequently fell again to £19.99 in February 2010, but then went back up to £59.99, then "out of stock").

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Republic Heroes (with GAME Exclusive Lightsaber Weapon Code) was £24.99; bought at £14.98.

Need for Speed: Shift Special Edition (PS3) [Exclusive Collector's Edition includes: Unlockable BMW M3 GT2, Unlockable Super Series Race, Poster, Special Packaging] was £34.99; bought at £21.98.

I appreciate the prices have fallen again throughout 2010, though.

Visited both stores this morning, second hand games still more expensive in the sale then buying some brand new games online.
