finally decided to get an xbox 360 and after hunting about i've decided to go for the pro evo package from gamestation with 2 other games.

however the impatient little kid i am I want it now so was wondering if i took the print out of the package price along to my local gamestation would they match it as best they could depending on stock or would they only offer the packages available in store.

just one other thing is it worth haggling in the likes of game, gamestation, pc world etc over packages and throwing in extras.

cheers guys.

The Gamestation website operation is run entirely separately from the stores. They cannot match the online offerings unfortunately.

I got my 360 from JohnLewis for £225.96 it came to in total with Quidco, £10 off. It included 2 wireless controllers and WWE Smackdown 2007. Have bought other games on the side though to make up for the extra £60 I was going to pay at ChoicesUK. Didn't want the risk of warrenty disappearing, IF, ChoicesUK went into liquidation.

I notice they don't state what model it is, probably worth making sure it's not an old Premium 360 that will be more prone to the red ring of death. I'd make sure you get a newer Pro (the new name for the updated Premium) model or better still an Elite so you are sure you get the newer chipset that is less likely to cause you problems.

yeah that was another reason why I actually want to buy one and see it for myself.
mates suffered the red rings last saturday, was gutting a house full of beer and no pro evo to play. :w00t:

The elites don't have a different chipset. Some UK elites are even reported not to have the new heatsink.

that would've been ideal.
just put my ps2 up for sale in the trade section to recoup some of the cost of the xbox and that could've saved me. don't fancy lugging ps2 stuff into town and then being offered peanuts for it so would've been handy.
