List of sale. Individual seems like a cop out to try and get cheap heat from people after someone puts so much time and effort compiling everything together

I'd prefer this too, but only if links are provided. If they are not then I feel that it is just a waste of time and I might as well browse the sale myself.

But only if it's properly formatted and has the price and link.

list, otherwise it's just spamming for heat. Unless it's like two games then maybe separate depending on the titles to just make it more obvious.

Hmm... I wonder what to vote for X)

I think change yes and no to "list" and "individual deals" or something... Someone is bound to get confused X)

Just out of interest what do you consider properly formatted?

4.. no game deals at all!

Let me at least finish the games I've already got first.. it's so inconsiderate! ;)

Sorry, double liked due to the wording and not quite reading it properly.

I'm in favour of one post with a list of everything in the sale. NOT individual posts.

Apologies again Nathan

For quite a big sale, that's way too much uncessary effort at times. For smaller sales then I'd agree. One link leading to all games on sale is often adequate

Your comments on today's DWG thread do the job nicely for me with separate lists for X1 and X360 :) Although I can imagine it being a right pain in the ass linking each one :o

Good to know :) I usually would put individual links in but this sales too big for that. I did originally put a link that directly went to Store Parser (a website showing all deals with a link for each one) which I thought would be good enough but that got changed unfortunately.

Links are yes, but with the right knowledge I believe that excel can be used to extract prices/game names etc from a website (Not saying that's how Bure did it, just saying it's a way, pretty sure Bubaman does it with the playstation sales :) )

I wouldn't know how to do that X)

I type each game and the price out. Which is part of why it bothers me when people claim lists are lazy and not as much effort as a single deal.

I prefer a list all in a single deal with the deal description including what the person considers (in their opinion) to be the best bargains in the sale.

Can I go one further and suggest it'd be pretty cool if the main thread linked to an external read-only spreadsheet/list of some sort, with:

- links to all individual games
- metacritic ratings
- previous sale prices/dates, and
- the ability to sort by price, alphabetically, saving, rating...

You could also allow people to vote hot on individual games to show what the most popular, say, five offers were.

Have I gone too far? ;)

Complete List

1.

The name of the game in the post which the OP considers the best deal.
One or two other titles in the main content.

I think the main job of the poster is to make people aware that there is a sale on and then let individual readers see whether any others interest them. Otherwise we'd be here all day posting and reading!

This is the perfect thread... I don't always do this but I have the intention of highlighting the best deals if that's close enough :D

Why not just stick the whole list in the main context instead of just 1 or 2?

I guess if you have a complete list then fine. I'm thinking more about a sale over several pages where you would have to copy and paste each individual title. You need to draw the line somewhere. I do believe that you have to make a complete list for a bundle, for example.

Does that include posting each tier of humble bundle bundles separately? :p

Either individual deals or lists that pick out and justify the best deals from a sale. If I just want a list of sale items on consoles I'd just go here

I have a rough idea, but I ain't no computer expert :D

If you don't list them individually, I probably won't get alerts for them, HUKD search will probably be too crap to find them, meaning I won't know they are there and someone else will almost certainly repost them anyway.

Can we not? If you're recommending a game I'd rather hear what you think about it, than a lazy link to metacritic, the averager of everything.

Well I think that due to the 'rules' reposting individual deals from a list is allowed so it will happen. If you check out Bure11's deal WIHAD cleared it up

So far 4 people have voted for individual deals, and at least 2 of them meant to vote for lists X)

You can un-like comments, incidentally.

To me... If it's not in the title then it's not been posted

'BIG SALE!! 11' means nowt without going and looking inside the thread
Generally not all deals are great anyway so do it right or not at all
