Leeds united have let Gary go after less than a year in charge and the last five games lost. link in first post. Should managers be sacked just for a poor run? i think they should have given him more time.

Serious now, I support forest, 3rd from bottom in the championship. We've won 4 games all season. We've still got our manager, hints he's gonna be sacked, but when they are we draw or win so.. looks like he's staying for now.

I think they will be closely followed by Mark Hughes or Tony Mowbary whoever loses this afternoon I think.

Football is totally result driven now.

Wins = money, simple.

True but the manager isn't to blame all the time, a bad run with injuries or factors outside the managers control could affect it. it just seems like these clubs are shooting themselves in the foot as switching managers all the time doesn't help team morale.

He should have been given the chance to buy in January. The defense are rubbish and the right replacements here would have strengthened us.
The club state they have sacked him now to give the new manager time to "identify any new players he thinks can strengthen the current squad" before the transfer window opens in January.
I'm sure Gary would have liked to do the same!

Sadly, they are just a shadow of the team that played under Don Revie in the 60's and 70's.

Like so many world wide football teams, full of Prima Donnas and Thugs!

All of whom are way overpaid!

Whatever happened to "playing for the shirt", there is so little heart, or loyalty for players, fans or managers, left in the game nowadays, it's just a corporate, cash driven circus.

as a liverpool fan I'm a big fan of gary mac - he had a huge influence on younger players espically Gerrard, and contributed plenty on the pitch

i reckon leeds should have stuck with him, a manager cant be expected to bring instant success, and I bet he had implemented the foundations that his success would be built on. now all that work will be undone by a new manager who will implent their own structure (which is fair enough), but it is totally unrealistic to obtain long term success without allowing the managers to implent their structures over a good few seasons. It is no wonder that Liverpool were so successful in the past when Shanks and Sir Bob were given time and laid down a great structure. same with Ferguson and Wenger these days

rant over
