Guess it depends on the sort of drinving you do.
I do a lot of motorway miles & part ex'd my is400 a while back, went for a diesel instead.
I now get 52mpg instead of 24 ish.

LPG is a good concept but you have limited supply as most staions don't have LPG. If you can work around that, then go LPG. Otherwise diesel is great, far better mileage than petrol and the engines take longer to wear.

Agreed, as long as you don't mind driving a loaded weapon ;-)

It wouldn't bother me tbh but there's only one place around here that does LPG and that's a 10 mile drive in the wrong direction. So that's a BIG consideration that needs looking into. Unless you can get one that takes forklift bottles:w00t:

Exactly. There is one place in my area that does it too, and I don't go that way. Additionally, if I were to go somewhere, I would need to know where I can buyt fuel before I go or be ceratin I won't need to refuel on that trip. I have a diesel because LPG hasn't really taken the world by storm as it were - but you can convert diesels to LPG. So for me diesel was a bit of a hedge bet.

I have an LPG converted van for work, I drive all over the place. sorry cant work out mpg but do about 300miles for £15 (44p ish a litre) My partner sometimes uses my van and always complains he has to put his foot down to get any speed but then his driving does scare me! Try this site to find LPG filling places www.goautogas.com think you can do 5 searches a month for free or by there map book with all filling places in (£8 ish) then you get a code and can use there site for the year as many times as you like. Surprising how many places there are to fill up I never go to the garages Morrison/shell/texaco they are all too expensive plus the small units put the gas in for you no smell on your clothes or hands then! Said by the white van women:p
