The voting system is a shambles, I am therefore disinterested.

are tories a boys club then? :whistling:
so how can you entrust them with making the laws for people other than themselves.

btw they're not right wing anymore, labour's pushed them out of the right wing spot so they have nowhere to go but left wing LOL.

Cameron deserves a go at it.

He had some balls to be totally honest about the debt this country may get in, and the raising or retirement to 66 to save 1.5 billion.

We need to pay this debt back somehow.

I actually think out of all of them past and present, he is the most open and honest.
#11
bloody hope not. cant believe i wont be able to vote! i'll be a couple of months out but looking at some of the morons in my year who will be able to vote...

Labour would win if they apologised for acting like Tories over the last few years.

Unbelievable that people actually want to vote for the party who made sure we would be hardest hit in this recession when they were last in power.

tories won't win after saying a 2 year pay freeze for public sector workers, one of them being the NHS the biggest employer in Europe, me thinks thats a lot of upset voters.............

Indeed, a pay freeze for the NHS, from Cameron, no such pay freeze for the bankers that got us all in this mess.

It is only for public sector workers earning over £18k..
Inflation is at a all time low, so a pay rise would be less than 1% anyway...

What would you rather have, a pay freeze or no job... The countries finances are in a right mess, and need controlling....

Also your comment about the bankers is stupid, he has no control on what private companies pay the bosses, also high paid people like footballers and that are good for the country as they are being unfairly taxed at 50%.

SO bankers, hedge fund managers etc. have been 'good for the country'.

Is the country you're talking about China?

They are not in yet, the point was that Tories will stealth tax, well labour have been the stealth tax masters really....

Just another point about this taxing, the 50p tax on BB landlines???? I already pay over that in VAT tax, so why not use that to improve this countrys BB??

Cameron drinking a glass of champagne.
Great reason to decide who to vote for, for our countries future.

Typical crap Mirror headline. That paper will go bust in the next year with poor journalism like that!!

I really do sympathise with NHS workers, but didnt most of us get a pay freeze this year?
This is to get us out of the mess Brown and his monkeys put us in unless you forgot.

Remember when he sold our Gold reserves when the price was at rock bottom?
Those countries must be rubbing their hands now its worth billions more, yes BILLIONS, all due to the incompetent Labour party.

That may have stopped us needing all these pay freezes

Such a myopic view of the financial crisis that it's actually laughable.

Do you honestly think the Tories would have been the better option during this period?

No, because they might take away your benefits. Then you'd have to get off your **** and do some actual work for a change, instead of posting rubbish on here all the time

What exactly has Brown done wrong in your eyes, that he perhaps hasn't in some economists' and world leaders' who have praised him?

Did you just choose to ignore the bit about the billions he lost on our gold reserves?
Mr. tunnel vision.

Yeah actually, i do believe the Tories would have done better, and maybe not let us get so badly in debt etc.

I think the poster who made the comment about benefits prob hit the nail on the head.

These (mostly) lazy oiks will be shaking in their shoes when the Tories come in and take all their free money away.

lol £18k is not a lot of money

would you rather motivated NHS staff and professional care or demoralised less well off staff, due to child care vouchers being scrapped, higher taxes, tax credits going on top of a pay freeze with VAT going back up in January making the majority of NHS staff over 10% poorer than the previous year...............

and we all know the NHS pay so well for the ground workers

However whilst under Labour control we have...

A NHS which is failing, an ambulance service which is not meeting targets,
a recession, an open invitation to imigrants,a benefit system which makes it easy for people to not work............. need i say more.

LIke i origionally said... I WILL be giving Cameron a try.
Which is hard for meto swollow after many years being an OLD LABOUR supported. Not the new Labour we have now,

I think I've actually posted many times how much I'm opposed to benefits of certain kinds. I can honestly say I've never 'signed on' in my life - whether you believe me or not is up to you, and how much you feel an ad hominum argument is preferable to things like 'facts'.

But it's interesting that you think that a party who historically support greater deregulation of the banking industry and in the 1980s were responsible for us becoming a country whose sole export is finance would have seen us through this crisis better than Brown.

I agree that the gold sell-off was a bad mis-step. On that point it is fair to feel aggrieved.

fair enough, i don't like either party tbh, I only care about a few things in life from my country and one is a right to good health care regardless of some poxy debt which is not the fault of the nation but of a few.

hey if you don't want to use the NHS every little helps..............

You're doing what many people are doing, which is giving reasons not to vote for Labour rather than reasons to vote for the Tories.

It seems a bit naive to think that things 'couldn't get any worse if we try the new guy'.

people are deluded if they think that the economic crisis wouldn't have happened if the tories were in charge

this has affected the whole world
#39
I am still waiting to hear Brown and Cameron's views on Jordan vs Peter before making my mind
#40
I disagree

I feel if we vote in with the current Labour we are sending them a message that what they have done to Britain is acceptable, and its not.
Out vote is our words.

ps Locally Conservatives are ahead by 23% which is totally unheard of in a welsh valley with staunch labour followers.

That statistic alone speaks volumes.
If Tories mess up then, they wont get my vote next time, however I am prepared to give them a chance.
