Not really a deal so posting in Misc.

From the 7th April:-

1st class stamps go from 34p to 36p

2nd class stamps go from 24p to 27p

Best to buy loads of 2nd class stamps (marked with 2nd).

You can use these on parcels / packets too so effectively you are saving 14% on postal prices from next week.

Hi, I often sell an item on the bay which costs me 60p in stamps (been using 1x50p stamp & 1x10p stamp on all packages)

With these price increases, will I need to add another few pence of stamps to the package or does this only affect the price of standard 1st and 2nd class stamps?

Cheers & good work spreading the word!

It'll be to everything across royal mail. see the links above. You can still use 1st and 2nd class stamps at the old price if they don't have the 'face value' on. Buy by the sounds of it, if you're stamps say 50p and 10p, you will have to pay a bit extra. :x

It affects prices across the board.

I always purchase 100 x1p stamps and 100 x 2p stamps.

I have a great stamp calculator excel spreadsheet if anyone wants one.

Jutst put in a value (e.g £2.66p) and it tells you what combination of 1st & 2nd class stamps to put on with any excess you need to make up in 1p & 2p stamps. PM email address and i will email it to you.
