Im looking into studying midwifery at University...as far as i can see i need 200 UCAS points required for the course. I already have 100 points from when i was at college (few yrs back) so need 100 more....I can do this by studying an A level and Science is a preferred one in Midwifery. Anyone know how i can do an A level in Biology through adult education? Or is there a simpler way..if anyone could help me i would appreciate it and give rep of course.

A lot of further education colleges still do A levels in the evening. Worth a try

I'd recommend contacting local colleges and seeing if they hold evening courses- as someone has already mentioned, quite a few do, and I'm sure you're likely to find somewhere that does a core subject like biology. Likely to start in September though!

What age are you? If you're a mature student they frequently will accept you with fewer points.

Hey

As above ring up, as you are a mature student you should call up and explain to wherever you want to apply. They may then adjust the entry requirements dependant on your experiences etc

Better to call up and talk to them...instead of taking on another course which you may not need doing!

Hope that Helps

Some universities offer foundation courses for those not qualified enough to start the full course. It's basically a top-up course to get you up to the number of points needed.

Have a look around at some universities (or even phone & speak to the admissions department at one or two of them - they're more than happy to help you) to see which ones can offer you a foundation course.
