This may seem really silly and i am sure many of you are in the same boat. I am REALLY seriously stuck as to what to get daughter as her main pressie for xmas. I mentioned the bank account/money gift and she wants * things to open*
Shes 16.. and she has about 150 left for her...
If i list what shes got and what ive got her for xmas to eliminate ideas...
shes recently had a new mobile phone.
Shes got a Wii and Ipod
Shes got loads of makeup, clothes etc

Ive already bought her for xmas Karaoke Machine for xmas, GHDs and name a star gift thing...Plus pjs, Camcorder. She has about 150 left, i dont wanna buy for the sake of it..
She is REALLY into Final Fantasy...WTF is that all about?

ANY ideas, especially on Final Fantasy stuff... not games as shes getting them... but unusual related gifts..

ahhhhhhhh HELP ive never been this stuck! ANY help or ideas would be fab, they say 2heads are better than one!

Thats Bonjovi, she loved it, she had two last yr to see him in Cardiff and she took my mum. She cried when she opened the tickets... I wonder if she would like to see a show, or another group... hmm may be worth me investigating cos as far as she tells me, she ONLY loves Bon Jovi! lol

has she got GHD's - the 1500 points thing is on again this week-end - resulting in £15 back on you boots advantage card

also - make up/ lots of little things/ perfume, if shes in college a new bag - messenger bag or backpack, a light that attaches to her computer for night use (my daughter loves that), Bon Jovi poster/shirt

my daughter is 11 and wants all the things you stated plus jewelry, i think its a lovely gift to buy because its something personal and can be kept forever. :) x

You could try forbidden planet for some models or such like.

What about a limited edition final fantasy psp? Gaming on the go, a collectors piece, incidental to her likes, and an investment potentially if kept in good nick. About the right price range as well.

I have just the same problem with my daughter! Same age - same response - things to open. I made her write a list of things she'd like. It consisted of DVD's - new & older ones. (she's doing A level French so got her 2 french speaking films) Underwear from La Senza, Converse trainers. Posters for her bedroom wall , a pair of killer heels from top shop ( won't be getting those). Some shiny things( still a big kid). Books - she loves reading.
A weekend away somewhere - nice idea for the two of you?

Last year I got her a mini version of her fave childhood book "we're going on a bear hunt" - she loved it! Also got a really old version of Pride& Prejudice.
Good luck!

How about one of these?

http://www.bonjovionline.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BJT164

or one of these

http://www.bonjovionline.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BJT135A

They've also got quite a few other things on their official webstore, and it says they post internationally although you don't know how much until you add the item to basket. If she's got everything else though and loves Bon Jovi she'd more than likely love them. This is the actual website address:-

http://www.bonjovionline.com/

By the time you've worked out the exchange rate and postage it will probably be around the £150 mark for each item.

Exchange rate + postage + tax as its over customs limit and outside EEA = probably over budget.

Well aware of that thanks and suits me just fine. I am an easily offeded atheist!

Rather than more items, how about train tickets to London, or OOP north if you already live there, to go in a few months (good deals on Virgin thread and travelodge). You could both make a weekend of it, or her and a friend. You don't forget those special occasions. Some 16-17 yr olds are ready for this, others not yet.

Thanks all,
Ive just won a Bon Jovi signed wall mount for her...Im getting there!
#17
i think she has enough
#18
After you've got all that, she's got enough to open. It's time to show her responsibilty. They are at that age now where they want presents but want money too. I suggest putting a small bit aside for it. She will really appreciate it.

edit- spelling mistakes are due to alchohl consumption

how about a pamper session that you could go to together, nice to have a treat with mum. Or a really nice jewellery box that she can keep forever n.j. dean do some gorgeous ones that you can pick the music for. Or a charm bracelet?
