As you're probably aware, ovi maps are being offered for free but only for certain phones.
I've just managed to get this going on my nokia 5530 which doesn't have internal GPS or is even listed as a compatible device on the ovi maps site.
I'm using an external bluetooth gps receiver for gps (thanks to hduk member osx). I downloaded the ovi maps for the nokia n97 mini in the list to my PC, plugged my phone into pc using mass storage mode, copied the .sis I just dl'd to my phones installs folder... ran the install on my phone. I then downloaded nokia map loader setup .exe and ran it on pc, then ran nokia pcsuite... in the options I selected download maps from the internet, picked europe - uk and loaded onto my phone.
All working fine with no need to gprs location data
Thought I'd pass it on for anyone using a 5530, just remember you need an external bluetooth gps device.
