It is annoying but be thankful it,s not on Sky or ITV as there would be adverts every 5 minutes with those two!

I think the coverage is ****. One minute you are watching something and then it changes. Then you have a channel with no commentary.
I agree with you
#3
And they don't say whether something is live or not.

It is on sky and runs across 8 channels showing different events. Also no adverts

Yeah I was watching badminton and went for a brew, came back and something else was on... Annoying :/

The Olympics do my head in.

I'd you watching it on BBC1 and 2 then it is basically team GB and highlight coverage.

If you want to watch events then there are dedicated channels on satellite and cable.

I don't think the bbc have control over the live camera feed. I've been watching everyday and the comentators aren't happy with some of the shots. if you are watching on bbc one then they move around to where the action is. press the red button and you can pick what you want to watch. I've been happy with how they have been covering the swimming.

For most sports, the Live telecasts are coming from organizers. All media channels will get the same feed, including slow motion, action replay etc. So the media won't have control over what feed they are getting.

I was watching weight-lifting medal contest and right when contest was getting close, they changed the program. They changed to tennis even-though it was already going on another BBC channel. So 2 channels had tennis.

Sometimes, they show delayed telecast in one channel and live feed on another channel. They don't even mention that

Best way to watch uninterrupted live telecast is via Online. I think they keep changing programs on TV, may be to put-off people recording.
#14
Worth the licence fee then?

Loving the Olympics and Team GB are doing us proud. Their expected final medal tally has been increased to 52 so come on Team GB go for gold. :)

Where do I watch it live online if you don't mind me asking? I don't have a TV licence btw. You could always PM me if you don't want to tell everyone. ;)

All matches are live in BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live-guide . Since it is BBC, I am think you need TV license.

Exactly. I need live coverage from the net that's not BBC. I tried to get some streams off kodi but nothing works. :(

Most BBC presenters have been shocking, with Clare Balding possibly the worst lead presenter of any Olympics. Every time she comes on I have to change channel.

Just more poor quality output from the BBC. Im just surprised they havent all been dressed up in some period drama get up to present it.

£ 3 Billions a year budget and we get this dross.

GB currently have 22 medals, total 2012 was 65, 2008 was 47.

Despite the shocking coverage, (and if I see another multiple repeated montage, I might scream) the athletes have been sensational.

BBC this morning said we have exactly the same number of medals at this stage as we did in 2012 ( I say "we", although I didn't actually win any myself).

It's just another massive TV Tax funded jolly for the Bloated Broadcasting Corporation, they've still got 3 TV channels so why not put it on BBC 2 or 4 not that I watch BBC 1 much either although I do like listening to 5 Live occasionally but that's been taken over by the coverage as well. By the way I like the Olympics but keep them to one channel cos more than that is pointless but then they've got their new favourite saying to live up to ' Across The BBC ' oO

The velodrome tannoy announcer bloke winds me up. It is constant droning in the background - he's not quiet for 1 effing second.

Don't know why BBC can't tell them to shut up or cancel the noise out when filming.

And as for the colour scheme....... I appreciate it is the Brazil colours but I might have to turn the contrast down! Can't blame the BBC for this though!

If they arent in control of any camera work, then just what are 450 BBC staff doing over there? oO

Red button doesnt even work in my area.

You don't need a licence to watch live streams if they are not BBC. If you did, you'd need a licence for Twitch and YouTube.

You're getting muddled. That's not what was being asked for.

I just checked how much effort it is to switch channels using Sky, by my calculations it uses about 1/1000th of a calorie and no more than a couple of seconds to complete the task.

Shakes fist at the BBC schedulers Grrr grrr grrr.

I prefer her to Helen Skelton. She sounds ridiculous, is she on helium?

Rowing is very entertaining - Inverdale and Redgrave make an excellent pair especially when we are doing so well.

Both on the front page of today's Sun for having a fallout...allegedly.

Inverdale looked slightly speechless earlier, Redgrave pulled Mahe aside to be interviewed then immediately pushed him away when the Kiwi TV crew kicked off! Entertaining to watch how long they'll last until their next tiff.

Good riddance to the swimming presenters esp the main anchor.

She probably can't believe the jolly she got with that gig.
