Hi,
The wife's straighteners are playing up. They are out of warranty, but would I be able to send them back to be repaired? Any idea what it would cost. Thanks, Mike.

Ghd will chare you a fortune if out of warranty, but if you do a search on ebay theres a guy on there who fixes them. Ebay item number: 200552826759 £15.99 not a bad price imo.

Cut off the euro plug and fit a uk plug if it keeps going on and off

How are they playing up and how old are they? My girlfriend had hers repaired for £29. I think it was just the cord that was replaced.

She says that the alarm is bleeping when she plugs them in and they won't heat up. They are 3 yrs old.

Contact Jemella and if it's not viable to have them repaired, they may well offer you a good discount on a new set.

i had mine re-wired. the light kept flashing and they wouldnt heat up. i think i paid about £15 having a new wire put on at an electrical store. ive had mine 4 years and now they are like new. def worth doing than buying new ones. ghd in my opinion arnt too good at repairing them. they said to me (without seeing them) was my fault as the wire broke due to my "lack of looking after them" grh! they did offer me a discount on buying a new pair.

id pop them into a local electrical store

I may be able to help! I have a warranty still for my last pair of GHD'S which were crushed so not covered on the warranty. Dont know how it would work but you could use it?? I now have a new pair see and new warranty?

Hi, that's a kind offer. I'm looking at the plug as I write, I hope it might be a dodgy connection. I will let you know.
Mike.
