Girly Meal - Ideas Please!

I have 6 girlfriends over on Friday - I was going to take the easy option and get a chinese in, but now I am feeling guilty into cooking.

We've known each other since school - so they know it's my hubby who usually cooks for any dinner parties - partly why I thought I should!! Help -what is quick, easy, takes little effort, can't be ruined under the influence of alcohol and will impress them!!!

I've just scoffed home made salmon and smoked haddock fishcakes :-D

Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy and can be prepared the night before. Chocolate pots or fondants for dessert......

All else fails, lots of wine

I would youtube up some Iceland ads, quite a few on there, all hosted by the lovely Kerry Katona. Should give you plenty of ideas - Kerry's guests in the adverts look really happy :)

casserole? again in 1 dish in the oven, im thinking less stress for you, so you can enjoy the night too

Lasagne, salad and garlic bread. You can make it the night before and just heat it up in the oven. Stress free! How about making it an Italian themed night?

6 medium donors from your local kebab house, 3 x family size bar of dairy milk, and booze.

That's not just food, that's minimal fuss, fat inducing, but very nice girls night in food.

Good idea by MB. Get's my vote, I would order in some Domino's pizza - remember to add the '4 garlic and herb dips for £1' to your order.

What about Tapas? - if you have a reasonable deli near you you can buy lots of bits ready made and then try a couple of easy bits yourself. Plus Tapas always goes well with Alcohol!

Chilli or lasagne, easy to prepare in advance, bowl of salad and nice fresh crusty bread, goes well with a few bottles of wine

Thank you all! I have decided on a vegetable lasagne (one is a vege - tried for over 20 years to convert her but I have now given up!), with salad and garlic bread. If I make it the night before how long will I have to heat it in the oven on Friday night?

Thank you chappies for your suggestions of mars bars, chocolate etc!!! I shall make sure there is plenty of it about - my mother is making me us truffles!!

Yeah!

Pop it in the oven for about an hour, 180C. Just keep checking it after 45 minutes.
Enjoy and have a glass of wine for me!
