Going up to Glasgow tomorrow for a few days and have just checked the website and it says they don`t have parking :( they recommend a local car park for £12 per 24 hours.

Know its a long shot but was wondering if anyone knew of any residential streets around there area or anything cheaper than £12 a day

The address is

5-11 Hill Street
Glasgow
G3 6RP

Thanks for any help

indeed they don't.. http://www2.travelodge.co.uk/search_and_book/parking_facilities.php?hotel_id=209

Can you not stop at their Glasgow Paisley Road TL, just 1 mile from the Central one. Glasgow Paisley Road has ample FREE parking

Don't have time to look at all these, but this may help .... http://www.cityparkingglasgow.co.uk/ParkingLocations/AllCarParks/

Thats actually barrier controlled and you need to put a number in for barrier to operate (unless changed but like that in January)

OP there are many car parks that are much cheaper than £12 a day. Will try get some details for you.

OP have a look here

Also, there is a car park down by Argyle Street station (at the back) that charges £5 a day - but a wee bit of a walk for you - but a nice walk as takes you through heart of the city. Will try find link

The car park I am talking about is in Osborne Street - just off Stockwell Street. Trying to find out who runs it. We use that one every time we go to Glasgow as its something ridiculous like £2.50 for 1.5 hours or £5 the whole day!!

Ah found it!! Its actually the King Street car park and details here

That car park is fab. Its bang in centre of everything - so maybe use it during the day then at night when parking restrictions lifted you can park closer to your hotel :)

Enjoy your stay and anything else you want to know just ask
