All in all, it actually paints the UK in quite a good light if you look at the improvements over the past 10 years.

not really. scotland has had the most change.

the highlands previously were less peaceful that the central belt. now the highlands are the most peaceful.- is that because of an influx of highlanders to the lowland areas?

And Gibson.

maybe we should invite him over in September, and have him kitted out as Wallace, riding through the streets of Glasgow.

If you look at 2007 vs 2012; the yellow has all shrunk, the orange and red have almost disappeared and most of the light green has went dark. It's definitely better!

But it also has some problem areas

admittedly you're right the architecture in the city is amazing.

it's shame most people don't notice it.

you just have to look up.

not sure what you mean by clyde regeneration? unless you're referring to that UFO spacecraft - the Hydro?

Common that's what you count as regeneration? it's been regenerating since the Glasgow Festival in '88 then.

The transport museum is a horrid thing. Should have stayed in kelvinhall where it was far more accessible.

The architecture of the older buildings is far more impressive than this new age space bs.

The Hydro is a hole!

For being a brand new building it certainly doesn't look it! Plenty concrete inside, very steep badly designed steps and loads of uneven glass barriers. Very badly designed, goodness knows who passed that off!
If you are unfortunate enough to be sitting in the gods you have no chance of seeing stage as equipment hanging down in the way. Screens are small too!

Give me the old secc any day!

My first visit to the Hydro will be in October to see Lee Evans, hope it aint as bad as said.

As for Glasgow, it really is a lovely city. Like most places it has its bad area's but you have to take the good with the bad.

Loved finishing word on a sunny evening and just walking past the old buildings and watching people shopping and enjoying themselves.

Sorry Not listening to him

Hate him with a passion.

Just an example, there's meetings being held all over Scotland free to walk in and listen to the debate,
This nuggets on a tour and charging £12 a ticket scrounging off the back of it.
Says it all about the opportunistic wee scrote.

Oh and i listened, usual sentimental rubbish.
Nae facts, nae figures, just fluff.
Up to sell tickets, wulnae actually "debate", as he has nothing in his tank to debate with.
Watched Canavan and Sillers try debate him, was like debating with a nursery wean rhyming aff gumf over and over.

Back on topic.

As said earlier The Transport Museum is in the most awkward place there is.
Used to be in an ideal location, now it's in the back of beyond. Daftness.
