Go Go Hamsters

I couldn't get any from Argos or Toys R Us so I went to the local pet shop.
I bought two hamsters and now I want to know how much food to put in with them when I wrap them up so that they would be ok on Christmas day.
Also, should I put a water dropper in there too or do you think a wet sponge would be enough.

Thanks for any advice.

P.S. Would I be better off asking Andywedge?

A sharp tap on the back of the head with a 10 pound sledge hammer should suffice

To answer your PS, I'd say yes

JP! :w00t:

can you leave them with someone else and just pop and get them christmas morning?

and i would think they would need a food bowl full and a water dropper full.

ps. i think asking andy would be wise (but then his hamster is on a spitroast!!!!)

I have a hamster i got for my 10 year old in the summer holidays

What kind of hamsters are they ..as far as i know when they are older they won't co-habit....but you may want to check on that.

They eat hamster food that you get from any pet shop or supermarket and they have a teaspoon a day. They need a bottle of water with the ball on the end tied to thier cage and it has to have fresh water in it every day. They also need some soft beddng and a layer of sawdust in their cage. They're cage needs to be cleaned out every week. You can get a hard brick type thing (sorry cant remember the name, if you ask at your pet shop they will tell you what it is) this goes onto thier bars and they nibble on it and lick it for vital nutrients they need. They also can have a fruid and nut bar that goes on their cage as a teat ...obviously you will not feed them the day or 2 they have that :)

If this is a funny post then hahahahaha....and i still hope this helps someone :P

Hope that helps

Yes, it is important to keep a hamster warm
They can go into a state of "rigor mortis" even though they are still alive and appear quite dead
Personally, I like a glass of mulled wine and a warm mince pie at night time to keep me active
However I am known as a renegade hamster amongst the Cricetulus griseus community and my colleagues prefer lots of food and a none leaking water bottle. No drafts and no moisture - so the wet spong is a big "no no"
We are also quite nocturnal, so a subscription to Hamster TV (Sky Channel 964) will keep them amused

Just have to say... I would never deliberately make a hamster hibernate.... it was an unfortunate accident.....
