Think for employment a suit is always a good idea :)

If a full suit is really too much then at least shirt and trousers with a smart jacket.

i think it depends on the type of companies yourre aiming at
but i guess long sleeve shirt plus jacket (without tie) with formal trouser and leather shoes (no trainer) will be a safe option

good luck with the interview

I've always found that shirt and trousers works a treat; if you feel the need, you can add a tie, but the amount of people we have had at our place wearing suits always look so over-dressed - I honestly somethimes feel sorry for them. Just make sure that you are "smartly attired" and you'll do fine.

Do you mean you are going for an interview to actually work at the Agency or you are going there to be interviewed so they can find you some agency work.
If its to be interveiwed so they can find you a job - what sort of job will you be going for?
Cause this could determine what you wear.

I hope that makes sense

as somebody who has worked in various offices over the years - not wearing a tie is not an option -
you would be surprised how much it means even these days when scruff means well dressed to
some people.

In the summer when I go to an agency (not an actual job interview) I wear shoes and shirt, and just roll the sleeves up with no tie as it's smart but not too formal, don't look scruffy or like an overdressed plank that way, but then I do work in graphic/web design so I guess casual is more acceptable.

Yes thats what I meant - if going for a job at the agency it was def shirt and tie but if you were going there to find you a job in another field dress according to that job.
I'm a youth worker so would go to interview smart but approachable casual (if there is such a thing)
Good luck for your interveiw and all the jobs you get - you never know which one you will love - what a great adventure x

I wore for my interview the other day a striped shirt with a waist belt, black cotton trousers with some small pumps! so it was casual yet smart, I did get the job! had my 4th day there today. :)

wear whatever reflects yourself, if you're quite trendy wear a shirt and tie that reflects that, if you're timid wear something more subtle... :)

With all due respect you could go for an agency interview dressed in a football shirt and the will sign you up because they will be making more money off you than they will be paying you but putting that aside you will be expected to wear pants, a smart top and possibly shoes or non obvious trainers.

Wear some black trousers, a tie and shirt. Undo your top button. It gives a more relaxed yet it keeps it formal and you will look very smart still. As long as its not a Winnie the Pooh or Bugs Bunny tie.
Best of luck buddy!

Just don't be surprised if they ask you to do something COMPLETELY irrelevant to what you've trained in or want to do, one asked me to cover for a secretary on maternity leave a few weeks ago because it involved "using a computer"
