going price for RAM

looking to upgrade the RAM from the 1GB installed to 2GB, so what is the going rate for an extra GB (2 x 512 MB)
currently installed is ddr2 pc2 - 3200u - 333 and crucial recommends ddr2 pc2-5300

DDR2 is more expensive then DDR3, a better technology. But for 1GB, I think your still talking in or around £30-40.

Scratch that. You can get 2* 512 of branded for £25 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/119258

Well after delivery, its closer to £30.

You can probably get 512's from somewhere but I use Novatech and they don't offer anything less then 1GB. You might be better getting two 1GB's....

ebuyer or overclockers might have some though

You could just get 1 single 1GB stick rather than 2 512mb sticks.

Also, if you're keeping your old ram, no matter what speed the new ram is it will only run at the speed of your older ram, so all the ram will run at 3200mhz.
