Going to Devon Cliffs next week, any tips or ideas of what to do in the area!?

We are going to Devon next week, staying at Havens Devon Cliffs. We have never stayed on a Caravan site before so don't know what to expect. I have heard the caravans are crammed together and that the park is so big we might have a bit of a walk but we don't mind that, good bit of exercise!
I have done a google search to see what is in the area for the boys but not had much luck. We have three boys aged 4 months, 4 yrs and 9 yrs so must appeal to all.
They have high expections, we tend to go to Florida once a yr but have missed out this yr due to having a newborn. My 4 year old keeps saying ''is it Devon Disney Mummy?'' ''will the buzz ride be there?'' Lets hope he wont be too disappointed!
Just wondered what the activities would be like on-site and if there were any places near for day trips to keep the little ones amused.
Happy kids mean happy parents!

Thank you all x

The Eden project is within driving distance if your kids want to go out somewhere
You could go to the beach.

It is a huge site, but it has got excellent facilities.

Paignton Zoo isn't too far away and is well worth a visit.

Hope you have a great time!

Thanks, looks different! I bought a new bat and ball, kite and beach ball etc for the beach so that should keep them busy for all of ... 5 minutes, lol!

For your devon 'disney' you could visit crealy which is only a 15 minute drive away.
http://www.crealy.co.uk/
Or if your kids like to play soldiers they can watch the royal marines go through their paces on the live firing range at the bottom of the park.
Plenty for the kids to do on the park crazy golf, swimming etc
Enjoy.

If you go to Paignton Zoo make sure you pop into morrisons next door and buy a packet of Kellogs frosties, they have a buy one get one free entry to the Zoo, save your self around £12.
Very nice Zoo it is too.

Great tip , repped !
There's a water park at Paignton, Key West
Creally's good
You could go down to Lyme Bay and look on the beach for fossils etc.
Exmouth Beach is Ok
Exeter is not far away for a shopping trip, pictures if the weathers naff, ten pin bowling.
Plenty to do but probably as far removed from Florida as could be , lol

There will be loads of flyers , brochures in the reception, grab a handful.

Have a great time, hope the weather is good for you, makes all the diffference.

Devon Cliffs has its own beach so you dont have to go far although the beach at Dawlish Warren is beautiful. The park is big and hilly so with a pushchair I would recommend asking Haven to put you on a flatter section of the park, we did last year when we booked as wife was 7 months preg. There is also a lovely spa with treatments and indoor and outdoor jacuzzis if mum and dad get a chance for a relaxing treat. The food isnt that nice for the price if you eat in the bar but they have a Burger King. The Grove on the seafront in Exmouth is a nice pub with good food. The aquarium at Plymouth is an hour drive away the kids would love that plus you could go on a boat tour of the dockyards. Also a look around plymouth hoe and maybe a dip in the seafront lido is not to be missed.

TRAGO MILLS just outside Exeter...

Find it on the net and put the postcode into your sat nav...

Cheap petrol and fun things for the kids to do without being expensive...

We did Cornwall for the weekend 3 weeks ago...

Eden project is over rated and it feels like your preached to about green issues as you walk around...

Dawlish warren is a good sea side place to go as is Woolacombe...

Paignton and Torquay is the English Riviera...

Have a wonderful time...

Plymouth isn't too far away from where you're going, it's pretty here on the waterfront and there's a massive aquarium with sharks and turtles and stuff, children always love that. Also, there is a park called Flambards (not sure how far away that is, have a feeling it might be a little too far), but that is like a little theme park with loads of stuff to do. There's an outdoor adventure kind of place called Woodlands as well, that has loads of slides and outdoor stuff to do, very popular.

Hope that helps!
