Timeout is good for finding out events. Also some free daily papers eg. Metro, is good to pick up see if anything's happening.

The few times i have been to London i've looked on here Plenty of things to do, places to go and of course special offers :)
The whats on section should help you with the night life :)

For a nice meal check out toptable.co.uk - you can get some fantastic deals on very nice restaraunts. I can wholeheartedly reccommend Pattersons http://www.toptable.co.uk/venues/restaurants/?id=1755 and they're offering 50% off the price of the meal - mega bargain. It's smart and delicious and good for a special occasion such as birthday. Plus it is closest tube stop is Oxford Circus, so easy to get to wherever you want to go afterwards.

http://www.quidco.com/big-bus-company/

That is good for a full 24 hours and even includes a boat trip on the Thames.

For entertainment in the evening - you should visit Kings Cross!!!

Youi should definately go to the london dungeons if youre not too squeamish. They are awesome, really enjoyed it when i went. Think there should be some vouchers for 2 for 1 knocking about somewhere as well.
