I had to bring my holiday forward from July to (18th) May, the reason being my partner lost his job (after it was booked), I did try to cancel but I was to lose £750 so we thought it would be better to go at a cheaper time. I'm just hoping we are still going to get decent weather.....anyone been in May before?

We are going to Sarigerme holiday village run by First Choice.
Anyone got any helpful hints regarding any of the above?

thanks

its beautiful weather u should be in the 80s at the lowest , i love turkey ,, i have just noticied the place you are going is where we went a few years ago ,,, it is beautiful, the kids club is excellent for kids ,,,, the food is great ,, all inclusive??? the entertainment is fab ,, First choic is the oonly tour operator i have been with for the last 7 years ,,, theres a market i think it was tuesday and sundays , it may of changed ,,,its great for haggling , there is many pools and my kids were always off to the pool with all the slides ,, u will not need any money except for markets ,,it is A ++++++++
it is a very big complex , it also has indoor pools, also shops and internet cafe , but the shops are more expensive than the little town 15 mins walk away , the food had lots of choices , also the kids could eat earlier than the adults , i loved it , looking at the pics i wish we could afford to go again :(, also they have a foam party on the beach that was free and we all enjoyed it ,, on the beach they had lots activities but u ahd to pay for these , but agin i cant say no more ,, just great choice and have a fab time

the rooms were not very spacious but there was 5 of us ,, but we only slept in there ,, the one thing to be careful with is .... mosquitos ,, i get bit wherever i go , but here i got bit lots and one night couldnt walk as i had been bit on my ankle and had trebled in size ,, just make sure u take your anphitmines , ( or whatever they are called ) , and lots of mozzy spray fro the evenings .

i keep editing as i keep remembering little things

the evening entertainment is outside amphitheatre type thing so make sure u cover up with mozzy spray

I'd have thought you would be a lot better off going when you are than in July as temperatures get ridiculous in July/August in Turkey. We've never been ourselves but our relatives went last year and a friend has an apartment out there and both said that it can get up to 50c in the summer - yuk!! In May I would've thought it would be lovely and bearable.

Enjoy yourself, perhaps just what you might need after your husband losing his job.

Take a £10 note for each passenger, ( not a £20 note for 2 ).

Required for entry to Turkey.

dont forget to vote for my kitty CLICKY hes in 2nd place at the mo

THANKS
We went there last year in July, it was touching 51degrees then and a bit unbearable so I think it might be better that things have turned out the way they have as it was a bit spoiled last year my whole face blew up like a balloon and I had to get medical help which is damn expensive, they said it was an allergic reaction to some kind of bite, i'll be prepared with the uk creams n tablets this year but hopefully I wont need them lol.

I have voted for your kitty, he is lovely. :)

We went to Turkey in November one year. It was still hot and sunny so I assume spring is warmer than our spring also.

Sweetie, you're going through a lot with your OH losing his job. Try not to worry. Enjoy your holiday get plenty of rest and then when you get back he can throw himself into finding something else x x x

Have a lovely time!

Happy Easter :)

Im also off in may, going to Torba. Ive never been before.... and all for the bargain price of £22 each :) Thanx to tesco clubcard! Actually that reminds me to check on the tickets.

Hope you ave a hice holiday Yummy :)

Ive been told that they have some random no smoking days or something and you get arrested if you smoke on the streets? And apparently the airport is quite expensive for drinks, so ive been told to take a drink with me when im coming back.
