We went to Hoburne Cotswolds last year which was pretty good. Had onsite club and indoor funpool which the kids really enjoyed. Just wondered if anyone had been to any good caravan sites in central England with plenty going on for the kids, indoor pool a must! Cheers in advance.

Family used to have a caravan at Hoburne. Very nice place.

Thanks for the link. I will have a look later. Going to Hoburne made us realise that you dont always have to drive miles to the coast for a good holiday. :)

I just realised that

Picking a campsite is so hard I think, some want lively busy places, I just want a field and my tent.

I'd gladly pay over the odds for chavless sites. Unfortunately a lot of sites are becoming full of them with no respect for anyone else.

Longleat isn't Wiltshire is it? Thought it was Somerset?

Ha, that'll teach me to validate with Google maps :-p Just put "Longleat" in which came up as Somerset ... but is actually a different one. Wiltshire, yes. Stand corrected. I should know really as I lived in Somerset as a kid!!

I went to this park a good few years back. imo it was an incredible place. I was camping and would open the tent in the morning and see rabbits scampering away. Really big on nature conservation. http://www.kellingheath.co.uk/
Its north norfolk actually, but thought it was worth mentioning.
As I say, I went years back. I dont remember it as being a noisy site. There are loads of nature trails and there used to be a steam train that ran along the back of the site.

No neither can I! When I say central England, I was more thinking Gloucestershire/Worcestershire etc. A bit more picturesque.
