I'm in charge of buying the Santa presents for our school PTA. I've been looking at books and at the book people. Just wondered if anyone knew of any other good sites to buy 120 books? Thanks

the book people? Daresay they may even be able to offer discount on bulk buying?

Anywhere near Chester? Theres a wonderful book storage warehouse there called...Laura's books...or Georgina's books...something like that anyway, and she would cut a discount for bulk buying, perhaps investigate your local book warehouses?

i would go to the works i dont know what age groups you are buying for but they do 3 really nice books for £5 and a lot of 1.99 books and these retail at full price in the likes of smiths and waterstones. i always purchase good quality books from the works. i would also try my luck and say if i am buying x amount can you do me a % discount.

Thanks. I may phone the book people up as will only allow me to buy 20 of a book and need 25. Dont really want to spend more than £1 a book, but may have a look at the works

what age are you buying for

they have the wimpy kid book set for £4-99, there is 4 diifferent books in that set, also wh smiths do lots of book sets for between £5 and £12, like 10 books in some sets, or do they have to be the same book for each child?

No they don't have to be the same. Basically infants and juniors but predominantly the ones that want to see Santa so probably aim at under 9

like i said smiths have lots of book sets, like fairy books, jaqueline wilson, etc, etc, also all kids books on 3 4 2, even the box sets, and then you can use a £5 off a £15 spend, pop in and have a look

the wimpy diary set is from the book people, £5 for set of 4, think these books are about £4 each, supposed to be great books

Where do the school get them from, maybe you could buy them through the school.

Does it have to be books? I know from experience I.e. My own children that books from Santa at school are never that great a hit. I am on my schools PTA and we buy craft kits for the Santa gifts at £1 each from the Factory Shop.

Whereabouts are you as i've just realized that the branches are all in Essex, but I'm sure there are similar stores across the country.
