Hi there
I'm gonna be working abroad for a year can anyone help me find a decent external harddrive no more than £50 the less the better

doesn't have to be huge was thinking around 500GB just gonna stick some films/dvds on it as I use a netbook, the smaller the better to be honest for taking with me

don't really know much

thanks for any help

All portable external hard drives are 2.5" laptop sized disks and get their power from the USB port (so dont needs a mains connection).

This contrasts with the 3.5" desktop hard drives that DO require a main connection.

The 2.5" drives to tend to be more expensive than the 3.5" drives.

I think the largest 2.5" drive you are likely to get is 500Gb.

The cheapest 500Gb I can see on Tesco is £59.97 for these two (just to give you a price point)
