  HTC will have to put their sense onto it, then the network will have to put branding on it, last i read was late August

  Yes I know that! However both have the same software and according to Android sources as soon as Nexus gets an update the other 2010 Android models will be also eligible for an upgrade, including the HTC Desire.
  
  What I was trying to say is because there isn't a delay for Nexus, probably there will not be a delay for the others. I might happen soon (Q3)
