Yeah I've heard of people being mugged pickpocketed. Some little git tried to lift my wallet a few years back. Problem was I couldn't do anything about it as they were likely under 18. Yes thank Christ no one has been shot recently.

For these sort of events best to wear bodywallets etc as it does get very busy

Yeah I'm well travelled which is why I caught them. Problem was I couldn't provide my usual reform programme. My point is you shouldn't need to be so on guard at what is essentially a family evening out.

Agreed but never go there with a bulging wallet in your back pocket - that's just asking for trouble.
And leave your expensive mobiles and cameras at home - anything that can be "lifted" will be an easy target no matter who you are

Yes Goose Fair for kids (go in the afternoon/early evening) it's good fun but expensive - and I haven't been for a good 10 years so who knows what the prices are like now

Don't forget your mushy peas n mint sauce

i went about 30 years ago - i thought it was great.

although the milieu might have changed now as some worried hotdealers have pointed out.

don't forget to go to the pub after visiting the fair!!

'Liked' purely for the use of milieu. We need more of this on HUKD. Love it. :)
