Ok so we have beed waiting for an othapedic appointment for AM for a while now. We got a letter in at the begining of the week which we thought would contain his appointment.

But no.....

Aparently Forth Valley are usin this great new 'Paitent Focused Apointment System' to help cut the waiting times.

This great new waiting list cutting system involves.....

Not giving you yer appoiontment untill closer to the time you'll be seen

So your not really waiting any less time then you just arn't on record for having been kept waiting

Yeah it's all a bloody numbers game these days. The wife was told she had to return to the docs a week after seeing them. Tried to make an appointment to be told 'Oh no, you can't do that, you have to ring on the day'. Now wtf is that all about? She's been TOLD to go in on that day ffs??!!?!?

By not giving you your appoint. until nearer the time enables them to cancel/change the date without you knowing - see, makes sense doesn't it. lol.

Yes, we have the same jenny and then they eventually send you an appointment which they say you can change by just ringing but when you do ring, it's like you've asked for Christmas to be re-scheduled.
All one sentence that !!
Just who gets these brilliant ideas?

I don't really mind as its not over urgent (as long as the poor soul gets seen before he's school age so it gives 'em about 16 months!!!)

It just really made me laugh that they thought we were dumb enough to think that this was a revolutionary idea

My grandad is in there too...was in visiting him tonight........its like a hospital from the middle ages...(my wheelie bin is probably cleaner too) :x

Well tonight on the way up the stairs to the ward I noticed

3 ciggie butts
1 dirty plaster
and an eleastic band (I know not the worst thing)

That place really makes me shudder. Wish I could win the lotto or something :-(
