i'd say keep the wii just for fun with friends and family. as for ps3 and xbox, if there is no price difference we go for the ps3 but will consider the xbox if the game we want is so much cheaper.

Not in the slightest! I had a PS1 when they first came out, then a PS2..then I realised I wasn't going to pay Sony over the odds for a games machine so didn't.....

Also Dark Knight...what do I have to be jealous of....just wondering...

So you ended up paying over the odds for a Xbox then i presume.

Well no...actually! I got a nice price on all of my xboxes (all working before you get all RROD) and as a gaming machine it's second to none pound for pound. I still have 2 PS2's for my older favourite games, and If (yes IF) I wanted blu-ray on top I'd consider a PS3 but then if I wanted blu-ray...I'd get it a LOT cheaper than buying a PS£ (shift intended)

You end up paying more for an Xbox 360 though, as it costs every year for XBL, It costs for wireless internet, it costs for a play and charge kit etc
Wow nice job with PS£, hey i can do that too with Micro$oft. Now i look 5 years old too :)

*sigh*

1)Don't use wireless Internet - it's slower.
2)Everything costs 'something' - you pay more upfront I subscribe
3) play and charge kit, yes I guess I paid for it, but didn't HAVE to
4) PS3 costs more
5) you're starting to make yourself a little bit silly with your fanboyism - you do it on every PS3/Xbox thread - you like what you like fair enough.....
6) not sure where you're going with the $ sign but yay you!

Jeez kiddies he wasn't asking what one was best he was asking what game he should get!

Unchartered 2 for ps3, cod mw2 for xbox (if playing live), assassins creed 2 for either. hope you enjoy

I've got all 3 consoles too, and generally if a game is multi-platform, I decide which to buy it for based on afew things... they might be:

~ price - if it's say, a tenner cheaper on 360, I'll buy it on that;
~ online - if it has an online mode I think I'll be playing for a while to come, I'll generally get it on PS3, as I don't always have a 360 Live sub
~ friends - if my friends have also bought the game which has an online mode, and they've all got the PS3 version, I'd be less inclined to get the 360 one

There is not much between the games that are mult-format on the PS3 and 360 graphics wise.

Sometimes, I'll buy a game on a particular format due to the controller, too - i.e. SFIV was crap on the 360 due to the pants d-pad. Much prefer it on PS3.

I have a PS3 and Xbox and unless it is an exclusive title to that machine then I look for which version is cheapest first, secondly because my brother has an Xbox if both games are the same price then i will buy Xbox so I can loan it to him when I am finished and he can loan me. should look at it that way if you have a brother or mate with one or the other console.

It's a difficult question to answer because it's so open. There are literally thousands of games available to you and at least a couple of hundred good ones.

Apart from a few exceptions (all strategy games should be bought for your PC and Wii games seem mostly exclusive anyway) it's largely down to your personal preferences (largely for the control systems) and the which platform a game is best implemented on.

You could start by picking up various platform exclusive titles and playing them and then deciding from there which controls you prefer.

Hey,

It would make my life if i just bought exclusive titles for each console

I.e super mario galaxy for wii - ive got

Ratchet and clank - ps3

lost odyssey - 360

but when they then release a title like arkham asylum for all formats, which platform should i get it on, i know it wil be crap on wii, so i can instantly dismiss that but then 360 or ps3 is my question

Also if any of you can supply titles for which are exclusive to each console esp ps3 that would be great...i know i am going to buy uncharted 1 + 2 for ps3 coz its exclusive, but some games i.e. Falllout 3 which console do you play that on...i got it for my ps3 but now i dont know wehter i should of got it for my 360 due to exclusive content

Or is there some games you should buy only for ps3 and some games for 360 another example of a game unsure which platform is mini ninjas not the best but for the graphics side of it, whcih console,

Yours Wonderinglly....

Like I said, it depends on the game. You could list the games you're after here and see if anyone has any experience of them on multiple platforms but generally you just have to look for comparisons.

Fallout 3 is likely to be best on the PC. As It's based on oblivion there are going to be tons of mods for it, and as well as all the ones fixing any annoyances with the game there are bound to be some which add some very good stuff. I wouldn't buy another version of any game you've got though unless your version is a complete disaster, generally the extra content isn't worth the cost of a whole new copy.
