New to posting although I have been browsing the site as a member for a number of years.
on Sunday afternoon my mum gave me 180 pound and said I had to deposit it into her account but yesterday evening I left university and took the tube and rail service to get back home, it was around 8pm I arrived at Edgware Road, when a few travellers tried selling me a watch, I clearly said 'No thanks' and walked off. at this point one of the travellers came back and started begging for some change, I spent my last pennies on the ticket in the morning and had nothing on me besides the money my mother gave me the day before, unfortunately I was unable to put the money into the account due to group work which lagged on for an extra couple of hours.
I tried walking away from this guy but he waved for the other travellers with him to come over, once they approached me I got very nervous and this is when the attack took place. Two of the men grabbed my arms while the other went through my pockets and took my wallet containing the money and my phone. Immediately after this they all told me to shut my mouth and walked off.
As I clearly could tell these guys were travellers will the police be able to track them or should I just go on my own vengeance and try to find people like them to steal from?
Another problem I have is telling my mum where the money went as we live off benefits and my mums an alcoholic, so we don’t have a lot of spare money at home. What are my options, I stayed in the university library yesterday and have been here since the incident as I am worried about what my mum would do to me. (lucky for once i dont have a dad)
where do i stand??
