ask your neighbours if they have recieved it for you ?
#2
thats royal mail for you.....
#3
well its hardly their fault if the address has been written wrong surely?

I had somewhere put the wrong house number on my parcel before. Parcelforce couldn't do anything. Luckily the delivery bloke gave it me when i went out.
#4
there should be a signature and printed name and the address it was signed at delivery as well
#5
does it show who signed for it when you look on the royal mail website, maybe you might recognise the name whos signed for it if its a neighbour.

Was it Royal Mails fault?
#7
If its Royal Mail Special, you can call Royal Mail and they will be able to confirm if the delivery address was yours or not..

However..... due to the data protection act, they will not be able to tell you the address the parcel got delivered to..

The website will be able to confirm which local delivery office it left, is that your local one ??

You need to contact the sender asap and get them to confirm.

Thanks

was thinking that too,
it should show you when you input the reference number via their site.

http://track.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1?catId=22700538&mediaId=22700586

I'd try to find out who signed for it, if it was your signature, ie forged, or maybe a neighbour.
Sometimes they sign for it themselves and then put it in "a safe place", although officially i dont think they are supposed to do this.

I had a courier who when i opened the door found him writing out a card and putting my item in my wheelie bin ! not amused :x

just spoke to unforgettable moments again and they are saying it is the correct adress on the parcel and its down to royal mail to sort it out unfortuantly the proof of delivery signing takes upto 72 hours to show. i am gutted.
#10
contact the sender, its their responsability till you receive. Guessing they are a company? Just say you havn't got it as yet.
#11
'The ePOD is an addition to our standard Track & Trace service. Now, when you send an item using a guaranteed delivery service such as Special Delivery 9.00am™ and Special Delivery Next Day™, or Recorded Signed For™, we can confirm when your item arrives, as well as show you an electronic image of the actual card that was signed when your item was delivered'
Or do you mean Recorded Delivery?

It's not up to RM, it's up to the sender.

Has your postie been? If not he could be late and may have signed himself (naughty I know) Give it till atleast 2ish, could be running late, maybe a busy morning

there saying once it has left them and is with royal mail its down to royal mail to provide the service i have paid for which i agree with.
#15
If the parcel has been delivered and ROYAL MAIL have a sig, and the company you purchased it from state they put the correct address on it you may have issues....

It will be upto the sender to reclaim the costs and put a claim in, (not you)

If the company is saying it was the correct address and are not prepared to chase, then you need to complain to the company..

i would go outside, check EVERYWHERE, where it may of been left, call ROYAL MAIL (like I said above) and ask them to confirm if the delivery address was yours..

^^ this, if someones signed for it, and its not you, they are still responsible.

i havent seen him go past yet and ive been in the living room all morning as i was awaiting 2 food deliverys.
#18
It's the senders responsibility to make sure goods arrive with buyer, this includes chasing and resending if necessary.

If the retialer refuses to play ball, tell them you will be issuing a chargeback.

If all the details are correct they won't have any issues with RM, as SD is not to be delivered anywhere but the receipients address.
#19
But you haven't paid RM for it, they have. You paid them to deliver it, and that's what they're contracted to do. RM will ONLY deal with the sender, because that's who they have a contract with. Don't be fobbed off.
#20
Is this Special Delivery™ Next Day, Recorded Signed For or Royal Mail Tracked™????

Might be your answer then, he may have signed for it to avoid costs on RM behalf, he might be running late, I would wait till he has been then worry.

Then you issue a chargeback via your bank card or your hubby if he paid and do it today.

Also I would contact your rm office yourself asking why your sd parcel was signed for and delivered to a different address, which is against sd policy, and you want it investigated.

yep it left my local office and is confirming it has been delivered.

Phone the bank of the card you purchased with and tell them what has happened and that you want to chargeback.

Was it a visa as this works with debit cards too, just had to do it myself.

Agree all you want, you are incorrect.

You haven't paid for the service, the retailer has.
Therefore, the retailer has a contract with RM, not you. RM owe you nothing, as you are the 3rd party to the agreement.

The chances are then, taking into account its a national company the address was half correct at least...

Have you tried your neighbours?? (i know it should not be left... but you never know.)

Have you called ROYAL MAIL and got them to confirm its going to the correct address??

Have you called your local dispatch/delivery office and explained the situation??

You bank disputes the transaction with the company as goods not received, it is their responsibility, they can't just say to the bank to take it up with RM, the bank will reverse the funds.

So I would phone RM, ask them at the local sorting office to investigate the incident, phone the company make them aware it's their responsibility and if they refuse to help you will be going to the bank to seek a chargeback.

Sounds like the postie is running late and has signed for it himself to stop RM having to pay compo for being late with a special delivery:thumbsup:
#36
Give it til the end of the day.

I had this happen a few years ago with T in The Park tickets. The delivery tracker online said delivered when i didnt have them.

The postie arrived later on that day with them in hand. So, when the postie picks them up in the morning, you might find he has just ticked the delivered column so he doesnt have to go back later on in the afternoon to fix it.

Dont worry about it. Will turn up later guaranteed. :)
#37
right have been on the phone to the bank and there is no way i can get the money back as its been paid with a switch card and its guaranteed payment and the money has already been taken so thats that idea out of the window.
#38
i have had the postman sign fot stuff on my behalf before delivering it with special delivery

i was on the phone querying why it said delvered at 12.55 when it wasnt......... 45 mins later a knock at the door with my green package

what a joke
