hi, i am not sure what they cost, so thinking maybe something mid range, just enough to get my current gaming rating up from 5.4. seems to be starting to struggle a bit. that pc only used for online gaming.

8800gt about£50
or for more power 4870 about £90

The 8600GT is roughly the same speed as the currently available 9500GT and GT220 chips.

The best value cards are usually somewhere between £80 and £150.

Here's a chart giving you an idea of what's out there. Everything in the top half of the chart will be too expensive (most of them are the result of putting 2 cards in one computer)

two cards in one pc, didnt know you could do that, without the pc exploding, or vista saying no way.
