Nothing exciting - just wanted to give people a heads up who may have wanted to know what all the fuss and hype was about back then and haven't already seen this movie. I was just surprised to see it being shown on ITV2 instead of ITV as a summer blockbuster.

I would've missed it had I not been glancing through a TV guide as I've seen no trailers for it recently. Maybe I'm being daft and it's already been on TV - but I don't think so. I'm sure a more eagle-eyed HUKD'er will put me straight!

You're right - nothing exciting. In fact I'm struggling to think of a more boring film.

And if you can't spare the time to watch, this is a good quick overview in a minute:

better off pausing it at the start and doing something else for half an hour then just FF through all the ads.

To be honest Deeky, I didn't want to express my own personal opinion and spoil anything. I will just say I'm not sure it deserved ALL the hype it received! Hehe.

I thought it was great!
Saw it on the big screen in 3D at a free screening.

Will have to see if its as great on the goggle box!

On a more nostalgic note - just watching James Bond vs Jaws (the 7' 2" steel-toothed monster, not the 30' razor-toothed, fishy-tailed one!) in Moonraker. Awww, two greats - sorely missed. Richard Keil was one big fella.

You have a couple of good points to consider there.

After the first fifteen minutes I used the remainder of my time at the cinema to catch-up on some sleep, only to be woken by the music playing over the end credits.

Why would you bother watching this in 2d? For the plot? lol

It's shot for 3d, it's the entire point.

I got this free with Google Play at the end of 2015, for those who have a DeLorean on them. Only played the first part of the film then got bored after half an hour. Just as boring as Alien Covenant up until they reach the random planet (and then that film was just cliches galore. The funniest was when the woman ran away from the room where the backburster was after the black woman instead of getting her out, got a gun and was rushing in the room like she was trying to be a female Rambo and slips on the blood X) Then she uses a flamethrower on canisters and blows up the landing ship)

I hated it at the cinema in 3D, watched it later in 2D & thought it was far better!

Clooney, yuck.

The man is a testicle.

And the film's overrated.

45minutes in and I'm enjoying it so far!

My expectations were low after reading this thread, but personally I really enjoyed it.

Maybe not the most realistic storyline, but it kept me reaching for the popcorn!

Well I was going to take it here a deal posting websites misc section. Thought as you've only managed to post 12 deals in NINE YEARS it might perk you up a bit, dunno spur you into action, get contributing and not being a freeloader type of thing. That could be my next crusade, having lazy members posting deals!
