I ordered a CD from CD wow and when i opened it the case was broken a bit and the front was also cracked, although the CD itself was fine and not damaged. I received an email from them saying that it should be with me in a few days so i replied that i had got it this morning and what had happened, a few hours later i got this email .....

Hi,

Thank you very much for your recent order. Sorry to hear that your jewel
case was damaged in transit.

We do not regard damaged goods, be it slightly or otherwise, as a trivial
matter and I can inform you that we do intend to improve our packaging again
in the future - in order to prevent this occurrence from happening at all.

I will get a replacement sent, first-class, in today's post.

I appreciate your understanding in this matter, - and hope I will be able
to assist you again in the future.

I was pleasantly shocked and just wanted to congratulate them on their customer service, feedback like that doesn't happen very often and i just felt like i wanted to tell someone lol.

I've had missing items replaced with a single e-mail & have generally found their CS to be pretty good....a damn site better than a lot of DVD/Games companies...

(Ordered quite a bit towards the end of '07 running stuff through quid off affiliate links)

this was the first time i had ordered anything and it was only a cheap CD so i know it's not coz i'm a big spender or anything lol

yeah, apart from the change over period when they were abit dodgy I've found Cdwow to be excellent.

I've experienced the same - they've always been very understanding and often do not require you to return the damaged/faulty item to them, which is a bonus.
