This is pointless, and there are now about 5 different songs attempted to do this, all will fail.

I think this further proves the genius of Simon Cowell. Set yourself up as a powerful villain that people will hate, allow people the chance to express their hate towards you, but only by first paying your company money a sum of money. People express their hate, Simon grows ever wealthier and more contemptible, people express more hate, Simon gets wealthier and more contemptible still, repeat, repeat, etc. He probably thanks you for this.

Does anyone over the age of 10 care who is Xmas number one anymore. Snice they changed the chart system it all seems a bit meaningless anyway.

I bet Simon has a right old chuckle to himself over these anti x-factor campaigns, at the end of the day it probably actually increases sales of the x-factor song, you can also bet your bottom dollar that the Biffy version will become this years anti x-factor song of which I dare say Simon had a share of that too.

Love how people get so wound up about x-factor / Simon.

Surfin bird has a better chance.

I wonder if winning the X-factor will become a curse and those that come second and lower eventually go on to better things. The X-factor hate seems to be directed at the winner rather than the programme itself and the 'losers' seem to be doing better than the winners lately.

Not only does X-factor seem to rip off the people that actually support the programme it is starting to mug off the X-factor haters too!

Agreed.... But its always amusing when you see people all worked up about something so trivial fail. Reminds me of those dopey Leeds fans at the end of last season.

I ain't bothered and wont be buying either.

I can't remember the last time i knew who was number 1. lol

The days of listening to the top 40 on the radio on a Sunday are loooong gone. I haven't even heard the X-Factor winning song but i certainly wouldn't waste my money trying to stop something getting to no.1, i'd just buy something if i liked it.

Although people moan that x-factor buyers are gullible.....these same people are being tricked into buying something else in protest. Who's more gullible?? X)

I never been an Xfactor fan, in fact I've always hated the show....some weeks back I read a thread on here talking about some girl called Cher and whilst looking at the you tube link I saw another contestent called Matt Cardle. I was quite impressed with his singing and the fact he was a normal guy just into his music and not some tallantless wannabe. I then found other videos on you tube with Matt playing in a band and doing small gigs in pubs. I was inpressed with him and for the first time took an interest in xfactor hoping that just for once someone with talant would win. He's put in years of effort trying to break into the music industry and I'm glad that he has won....don't reall like the song they have chosen for his first single though
