just watched a woman oposite be picked up from the block of flats with her baby.

she came out with her child and buggy for this person in a 5 dr polo to pic her up in.

they took half of buggy off the seat and put that in the back of the car and then folded down the old style frame and then tryed to fit that in ti the boot which therefore it did not fit so that had to go in the front passangers seat.

so after that went in the woman who owns the child go in the back and then put her seat belt on then put the child in the seat part of the buggy which is not designed for the car, they did not seat belt it in or strap the child in.

so the car drive reverses out of the space and stops halfway as the buggy frame was falling on to her when she was using the gear box.

am angry in away that people can do that which children and the law states that a child must be in a proper fitted car seat.

what do you guys think i dont know the people should i report this

Yeah would report it, as the frame on the gear stick can be very distracting, not to mention the child not fasten in.

What exactly are you going to do? Phone up the Police and say "I've just seen a child not strapped into a car correctly and the woman had a folded up push chair on the passenger seat!!!

There is enough people wasting police time without you adding to it.

I would rather you did something about it, because if tomorrow there is a report that a child hasnt been strapped in correctly and was killed in a freak accident you would never forgive yourself for it if you hadnt reported it.

At the end of the day a call to social services would be ok as they would go check the child etc and also tell them what to do/not to do and possibly save a life.
Maybe a call to local police station and ask their advice, at the end of the day if they dont want to take it on they wont.

WRONG !!!! too many people dont intervene when they should for fear of retribution.
Did you catch Jeremy Kyle this am.
This girl had been sexually assualted by the same guy thats currently jailed for raping a 12 week old baby. His gf at that time got for 5 yrs in jail for standing by and doing nothing.

Personally i think he should of had the death penalty ( if we had 1 ) as thats utterly sick.
The gf no matter how scared she claimed she was should of intervened and seems jury agreed as she got 5 yrs

He btw only got 8 yrs for the assualt of the girl she was 14 at the time and the rape of the baby

How do you know the seat wasn't designed for dual purposes? bugght and also car seat?
they do make them!
IF you called the police and they did by some miracle come out and found it was a proper one you'd be charged with wasting their time.

Apart from which.. if you hadnt been looking you wouldnt have seen and it happens everywhere it's up to the parents what they choose to do.

Go back 25-30 years ago and you'd have been very hard pressed even FINDING a car seat designed for a baby
go back about 30-35ish not sure of the exact date but cars didnt even have to have seat belts fitted
and believe it or not
but there are still cars on the road that legally dont have to have seat belts fitted, and its legal to have any age child in that car.

Just watch tv and dont worry about the neighbours

front door - exterior door (at the entrance) at the front of a building
exterior door, outside door - a doorway that allows entrance to or exit from a building

Is the people against this men by any chance?? Do you have children??

Yes im a man 42 years old i have a 14yr old and a 8yr old my kids are doing well good schools etc etc we love them but i think you are missing the point here if the woman wants to do this then so be it she will have to live with it if a accident happens. To me i think its madness whats she is doing but who you gonna call about this i think its a bit ott.

DLM
Would you turn your back on a helpless child?

No of course not i would be the first one to sort somebody out if they was abusing there kids trust me but this is not the same and you saying would you turn your back on a helpless child is more ott than the op.
