Barack Obama - Wasn't he down in Florida in the last week or so?

Although he fails on the TV Show clue - Then again, some could say American Politics is one big TV Show.

Guess who we saw in Typhoon Lagoon back in August.

(Well we didn't actually see him, it was rumoured he was there in the slide queues).

True, but we did get our currency months ago at 1.93 so we did well.

Such a different world over there, definately worth considering moving ....

My best man emigrated with his missus and kids to a place near West Palm Beach. (Jupiter.) Last few times we've been over we've been and stayed with them for a week on top of the 2 weeks in Orlando. They have an awful lot of things to say about the cost of things and general issues. (eg because of the hurricanes, they cant insure their house. Medical insurance takes up a massive part of their income.

That and the fact its too damned hot! November would be lovely - but try July / August!

The weather would be one of the major factors, we both love the sun and like it hot.

Medical insurance would be a huge cost.

We looked into timeshares at the resort we stopped at (the fountains) which we are trying to work the finances out for to see if its worth considering.

Its not. Dont do it.

On our last trip (last year) we stayed at the Bahama Bay Resort in a huge 3 bed condo. We got this by exchanging it for a 2 bed timeshare I bought on ebay for £29 and has low maintenance cost.

Why pay a fortune to stay in the same place each year - when you can by cheaply and exchange for something far better and more expensive!

The Hulkster has a house in clearwater. He drove past me in his yellow corvette while I was on honeymoon, years ago.

The ride itself is quite tame I thought. Was expecting it to be much worse. The initial acceleration isnt as big as Rock'n'roller coaster. Arms up jobbie on every ride for me. ('cos I'm 'ard!)

For coasters, its the best park IMHO.

is that the one where there is a red dragon ride and a blue dragon ride and they go past eachother because i was rolling round the park with no top on (because it was soaked, and because i was jailbaiting american women)

so i wanted to go on this ride but my top was too soaked, so i wore a womans top which had straps, looked very gay but was a good ride.

Ok in answer to your PM........

The timeshare I bought from ebay was for the Colina del valle resort (Argentina) and cost me £29. I also had to pay the legal fees and 1st years maintenance, which totalled about £380. (ie £409 all in, including the first years "rental".)

The reason I did this was purely because the maintenance fees were cheap. (It was $300 per year - though that has now risen to $380).

Its a "red" rental - which has the high season rental value.

I use "dial an exchange" for my swaps. They charge about £60 for a EU place of £80 for worldwide. The place I swapped it for would have cost $1400 per week. I think we did ok!!!:w00t:

You also get the chance for bonus weeks - ie weeks costing from £99 per week. Its madness to pay top dollar for your ideal timeshare - unless you know you'll be there every year. I know I'll never go to mine in Argentina..... so I dont care! It cheap - and its swapable.
All I need to know!!!
