Asda direct seem to have discounts on hair straightners at the moment. Can't vouch for which ones are better than others, but some have reviews.

Hi i go through straightners like wonno...ive had the babylis elegance ones the longest tho. they are bronze in colour, you can change heat steeings and are so fast to heat up. I'd buy these again should i need to..i even bought some for my mother! Should find them in Argos..i got mine plus the matchin hairdryer for 50 quid last year so bound t be cheaper now.

they are better than the ghd... would strongly recommend these straighteners. They have longer plates too, which enable you to do more hair at a time... and the reduce the snagging!
