Half Price Sky Advice

My work have sent an email for half price Sky packages for new customers only. Would it be possible to quit sky (ive done 12 months already) and get my partner to rejoin as a new customer, saying ive moved out and she has moved in?

Anyone done anything similar?

I hate Sky's lack of reward for existing customers

I'll give it a go then thanks. Its half price for 12 months on all packages, but you need to enter a payroll number from my work to get a unique code to send to sky

I've done this a few times over the years when offers are out. They may try and charge you a connecton or installation especially if you take a new box.

When I went to SKY HD (in the wifes name) they charged me £60 to ring the door bell and give the box, as I used to fit these and wouldnt trust anyone else on my old roof.
Make sure you let them know that you have the old box and cabling there and they have left the viewing card as that is another way of them getting money out of you.

You have to give them 30 days notice and you will get at least 1 phone call from them offering you a better deal during the 30 days. Try not to give them too much info as they may record it on your account ie, dont tell them you moving... maybe just say ur feeling the credit crunch and cant justify the money.
They may even match the new customer deal if you point out ur dissapointment of their "brand new customers only" policy, but they'll only entertain matching it after you've given them notice to cancel. You would need to call about 2 weeks prior to ur cut off date to ensure you get an appointment for an engineer to call round if getting a new box, If not then about week if you want to keep using the old box - which should still be covered by a new 12 month warranty inline with a new 12 month contract that ur missus will be required to take out. My wife kept her maiden name so it helped my situation.
