Hiya, as many are pros to get what they want on here I am asking gurus for some advice..

Basically I ordered something on halfords website to be collected in store. Said it will be ready on tues. With bk phone call from them backing it up I went in on Thursday to pick it up. They said computer says its been delivered but they couldn't find it or something. They said they will Chase it up and call me the next day, otherwise it will defo come on next tues. No phone call. Came next Thurs I went in again. Same story different day. I had a moan to them, they assured me again they will get bk to me asap. Come today I got a voice msg saying oh its discontinued sorry. Can u come in for a refund...
Do I ring customer services if there are any or do I go in store to bring the place down? Although I suspect there is no manager in store, so employees don't give a monkeys and ill be wasting my time again.
Trading stds? Tho I don't think that will help.. sigh! Depressing Monday! :(

what do you want exactly? youve been messed about abit but dont know what you expect to get to be honest maybe a voucher for a small amount tops.

why would there be no manager in store?

trading standards cant do anything,computer showing its came in coulda been knicked by staff it does happen

What are you trying to achieve? What do you think they can do? Just go and get your refund and move on.

Dunno really, just feel bit bitter as I've been messed about for good 3 weeks, perhaps the staff knowing all this time where it has gone etc.

What annoys me more is that the first 2 time I went in there was some in stock. Instead of messing up their system by saying simply take the ones off the shelf I was being patient and letting them do their jobs properly.. grr..

Nope, the most you would get at a push is your travel expenses covered and you'd be lucky to get that

So the item that you wanted was instore and on the shelf anyway? Personally, if I had turned up expecting an item that I had ordered to be there and it wasn't, I wouldn't have thought twice about taking one off the shelf :thinking:
