Halogen oven thermostat - anyone seen one for sale anywhere?

Our JML oven stopped working & I'm fairly sure it's the thermostat. Have trawled the web for two daysand the best I can find is 1$ minimum order 1000 units :(
it looks like this
http://www.tradekorea.com/sell-leads-detail/S00007506/adjustable%20thermostat.html
and has 10a250v on it

also used in irons, deep fat fryers etc. Tried to open up my iron but would need a weird screwdriver -_- type. Husband is going nuts with my bothering him about it. Reports on the web suggest pointless contacting JML etc.

Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.

how about 69.99 for the stat?

kidding, this is modern life, the bits cost more than the item, I can no longer count the things that have been thrown away due to a cheap part.

Just yesterday, my little car tyre inflator had to be thrown, as it no longer turned off when it was at the right pressure, so you had no idea, good job i didnt just walk away!

My limited electrical knowledge showed it to be a tiny circuit board had failed, but of course not replaceable, and 30 quid for another whole unit
and my under the counter lights, whole units needed replacing, as the bulbs were 1/4 inch shorter than the standard! dunno where they came from!

ideas? boot sales for a cheap iron? spend 5.99 on a security access bit set from an online seller
I would suggest its throwing good money at it, best off buying another

I think there's a gap in the market, at least for JML thermostats because the new JML oven costs £50 - £80 so I'm not going to chuck it. My dad suggested hot wiring the thermostat or something which would be ok under supervised cooking I suppose.

the gap has been filled, the JML oven, or copies of it have often been sold for 29.99 or so, thats modern life,

same happens with cars, the on board computer fails, a circuit costs 500 quid, and the car scrapped, never happened in the old days, they were scrapped when they were worn out
