I don't want Capello to go, hes a really good manager and the English press just want someone to blame.

This would be a knee jerk reaction, why rush when the euro qualification doesn't begin for months ?

Capello hasn't even gone yet and is very unlikely to go under his own volition. The FA are complete tools for ring fencing his contract before the tournament, the same as they did with Sven

Redknapp is an OK league manager, hardly a master tactician and also 4-4-2 merchant like Capello. I can't see him bringing anything new to the international table, if anything it would be a backward step. He'd probably try and bring Jamie back as well, if he's not too busy playing Mario Kart or going on Thomas Cook holidays with his missus that is.

Whoever comes in needs the nuts to drop the likes of Lampard, Gerrard and even Rooney if needs be. We cannot go on picking players because of their premiership reputation, we need the right players for an England team not the the 11 best premiership players.
It won't happen though nobody has the balls to drop Lampard and that's half the problem, he knows his place is 99% safe. HR ain't going to drop him for sure seeing as he his family.

BTW did anyone watch that programme on ITV about the 2006 world cup / music on ITV last night?

As the team trotted out it was Terry, Ferdinand, Cole, Cole, Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney and they showed clips with the commentary of all the games and went on about how disappointing and lack lustre we looked and just scraped through all the games against, Paraguay, Trinidad and Sweden.

It was just like watching this years world cup and it made me think how come we didn't learn from that one and we eneded up taking virtually the same first team.
