went two years ago, hotel was nice. would recommend the catamarran trip out to the islands at the north of the island. be aware that you are entering a third world country and expect the locals to be living in shanty town type homes. Locals are friendly, food was good especially the lobster, nick a bread roll at breakfast time and you can feed the fish in the ocean, fun for the kids ( and big kids).

BEWARE the CAR WASHES you will find out about them when you go.

We have stayed there before and it was one of my best holidays yet! The food is exceptional, we had fillet steak most nights, always plenty of choice at meal times and the show cooking was great

We hope to visit again next year, we made some brilliant friends there and the staff make you feel very welcome and would do anything for you.
Watch out for the drinks, they really fill them up with 3/4 of alcohol, hubby had to carry me home on a few occasions! :-D

Definitely recommend the safari truck ride where you take a trip to 'down town' Dominican, you over look where Jurassic Park was filmed. The scenery is stunning, you visit a private island and get chance to have a swim, ride horses and visit local schools etc. Just a note that some kids do beg; we bought a load of sweets, books and pencils with us.

Have a great time
