Has anyone connected their Wii online?

£0.00 @
I was farting about with my Wii last night, and I don't feel as if I am making full use of it...Has anyone connected theirs online? Is it worth it? What else can it do, that I might be missing out on?…

Depends, you can download the internet thingy and watch youtube clips on your TV, pretty handy

But some games, like Mario Kart have online races, that pit you against worlwide players.

Mines online... it's okay for Mario Kart but some the gubbins isn;t worth it... news channel, etc... the weather channels never right either!

Mario Kart online is probably ftw.

Have played COD WaW online too, but doesn't compare with Xbox 360 WaW online.

It takes about 2 minutes so I'm sure it's worth it, even if you only have a ook at it and decide it's not for you. Costs nought either so what you got to lose.

Mario Kart is good online. I also play Grand Slam Tennis, Virtua Tennis, Super Smash Bros Brawl and The Conduit online.

Not bad!

I know what you mean about not using it much! If it is only online gaming, then I'm not too bothered, but I did just buy Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and that might be a laugh.. I have my puter connected to my tv, so I can watch youtube, get weather etc.
I might try that 30 day fitness challenge with EA active, as I do enjoy that. Has anyone tried doing it for 30 days? (no NOT that, lol)

Really? It took me about 2 hours, lol:p So not worth it either:oops:

Was probably an update that made it take that long, god knows why but updates on the Wii take a ridiculous amount of time to download.

I thought I had to buy a ethernet connector or something? It doesn't have a CAT5 connection hole at the back of it, so I thought I needed to buy something else to use it?

It's wireless out of the box - same as the PS3

EDIT : You don;t need aything as long as your router is wireless - just search for it using the wii...
