Hi all im asking on behalf of my dad who is having real problems with a company who go under two trading names, Ice World and ADS-shop.com they sell car entertainment equipment via online.
dad ordered first unit for £651 but next day decided he would like to cancel the order and called the company( ADS-shop) and the lady suggested an alternative, but she failed to refund the £651 from first purchase, she sent him the email showing the alternative item which was £425 + £59 for a updated route 66 card he received the goods but the card sent was not the updated card he paid the extra for.
They said on calling and email it would arrive later, but this never arrived.
The outstanding balance difference of £167 took a fight of approx 9 weeks to get back.
Then he received his £59 back after this, they then charged him admin fees to refund the monies back.
when he fitted the car radio navigation system, but he found the quality to be extremely poor and was not pleased with it, he tried to enable the GPS by loading the SD card but it kept coming up in mostly Chinese but also other foreign languages also.
and telling him the card was not inserted, after sometime it finally loaded but the graphics were so poor it was unreadable. he tired again the following day with no joy the third day he managed to get it on again but still poor graphics.
He called to make a complaint within the 28 days but was told that it had to be fitted by one of there engineers and he had damaged it.( which was untrue as dad has fitted many car audio equipment before and he is also a qualified auto electrician)
The unit works but the quality is so poor it is not fit for purpose.
he asked for a RMA and also their return addy, but it was refused instead he received a threatening letter telling him if he tried to claim his money back though his credit card they would take him to court to reclaim it.
he sent 5 recorded delivery letters to an address in Strand London,And somerset buildings, to inform them he was returning the unit , one letter was signed for in london the rest were sent back.
he used the address Somerset buildings southport Merseyside(taken from email registration) to then return the unit via recorded delivery. It was signed for and excepted.
After contact via post office they could only tell me it was signed by a "j" something and i then had to claim from the post office for the loss as post office couldn't trace the address.
After no success with post office he contact with Southport council to find out who owned somerset builings merseyside, which was refused under data protection.
but i was was informed of a hairdressing salon beneath the address he called 118500 and called the hair salon and was told the above property was a training company and they new the man as he was a client and he was called John.
I called john and he had my parcel and i got the post office to return to me.
I then took the case up with my credit card company along with my evidence, after sometime they paid him out my £425.
he has just received a county court summons for £651 plus court costs totaling £1036, claiming he made a fraudulent claim on his credit card.
I have done a whois but im not up with it in a big way, the company seem to trade under other names and it lists as Nanomask on whois.
has anyone had any dealings or problems with this company , as i need as much info as poss on them.
They trade as
