Has anyone else has nightmares with Marks and Spencers cancelling orders?

Just has my second order within a week cancelled as out of stock - even though orders had been confirmed with customer services. Shocking service

they are usually super crap with sale stuff.....shocking they are doing it with normal stock as well!

I haven't ordered anything from M&S this year.

I have had orders cancelled from Sainsburys and Boohoo though :(

I've had several orders cancelled by them and a parcel left on the door step......shocking service.

Just spoke to customer services and they said that just because an item shows in stock online it is not linked to live stock availability. Therefore when it comes to picking your order its pot luck if its still there.
That is shocking logistics for such a major corporate. Will not be using again and 2 fingers up to their 10% discount on today

This is what i sent them last time it happened to me: I am dismayed to have yet another email form yourselves to inform me that items i have ordered when in stock,have then gone out of stock and i will not be getting them. This is not the first time it has happened to me and yours is the only company i have ever had this problem with. I can't believe that there is no computer program that can't count stock as its sold? This along with a lost parcel last week have lead me to think that M&S is not the company it once was!

And their reply : Thank you for the email about your order. I am very sorry that the items you ordered are out of stock. I must point out that all items are sold subject to availability at time of despatch and not when the order is placed. I can understand your frustration this issue has caused. I will pass on your comments to our web team although I cannot guarantee a change in they way we do our online business. I apologise for any inconvenience and upset that you have experienced on this occasion.

There really is no excuse for this.

Why have IT if the different bits don't talk to each other?!

Ordered a phone in March, had not received it by August and couldn't cancel it as it had been "processed"... Eventually got the phone in October, and it was faulty.

(as an aside, wife threw out all packaging and delivery not, so couldn't even get it refunded or exchanged... doh!)

Try ordering sale stuff from Debenhams,they are the worse culprits i have ever come across for not sending you sale items,you can get an email a week later saying they haven't got it.

yes, I woke up in a cold sweat last night after I had a nightmare about marks and sparks cancelling an order....that I havent even placed! :p

every order from M & S online I ever made has been cancelled, I don't even bother shopping there anymore. Waste of time and effort.

Didn't realise the restraining order applied to their online store as well.
