Has anyone else received their Samsung F210 Blue on Pay as you go Orange deal yet?

Called them earlier and they said it would be delivered tomorrow/wednesday, then received an email saying it is out of stock? The email seems a bit odd as it mentions nothing of a refund and its sent from orange-ftgroup.com

Anyone else got this email?

same as you was ment to get it on the 30th dec did not turn up,so i phoned them and they ask if i still wanted the phone told them i did they told me that they was ment to be getting more stock of them the following week, will be phoneing them again in afew days if i have not heard anything from them

no have not had any email from them apart from the one when i brought the phone to say that it was in stock

Just got the same email. It is rather confusing as one of the alternatives (Motorola Rokr E8) is £81! Does that mean we can get an £81 phone for the same price or are they expecting us to pay the extra? Not very clear from that email.

Same here, i got the email & was a bit confused as well. But after thinking about it the F210 was a sale price with £50 off,. So maybe they will do the same with the MOTOROKR™ E8 for the people affected by the F210 being out of stock . Il call them later to find out whats happening.

Dose anyone know if the MOTOROKR™ E8 is a good phone or not & would it be worth the £28.50 if they let us have it for the same price?

I had received this email regarding alternative phones so rang customer services and the man said the F210 had been discontinued and more stock was unlikely so I could choose one of the other phones at the same price. I said I'd have a look and ring back so did so, gave my order number and the lady said 'oh yes, that phone has been picked up by the courier and will be with you tomorrow!!!' lol. Will I receive it? Goodness knows:?

After being given a delivery date of 30/12 which never arrived & Orange never bothered to tell me the phone wouldn't be coming i phoned customer services last week who told me I should have it by today. I again phoned customer service yesterday who told me phone would be with me this Thursday. A couple of hours later I received the email advising the phone was out of stock & offered me the alternatives previously listed.
I then sent Orange an email & blasted their appalling customer services. I then got an email from Orange stating the phone will be with me tomorrow.
So I've no idea if I'll get the phone tomorrow, thursday or if at all but one thing is for sure I wont be buying from Orange again.

I got the same email. I emailed back to say I would like the Motorola ROKR E8 as long as i dont have to pay anymore and received this email back:

"Dear John

You order has been changed as per your request and sent for delivery at no additional cost.

Bargain If it arrives as Ebay is flodded with the F210's. ;-)

I can't seem to find it on the website and already have an Orange pay as you go phone so am confused which is the right number.
email doesn't seem to be doing much good as they want my order number - a number which they failed to provide me with when sending me a blank order confirmation email! But they've charged my card and I still have no phone so I need to get some action!
AWFUL customer service - am seriously considering changing my network just as a result of such shabby treatment.
Rant over - any help/advice would be much appreciated.

I didn't get an email but I just phoned them up, they are sending three rokr e8's to me. £81 on their site, this phone gets very good reviews. I'm happy enough

If you are waiting for the F210 I wouldn't wait in especially, I very much doubt that you will be getting it. Have you had the email offering a choice of 3 alternative handsets for the same price (£18.50) yet?

I don't know. As per my earlier post yesterday, I had one guy telling me I wouldn't receive my order so I said I'd look at the alternatives and ring back. Next woman 10 minutes later told me it had been sent and would be received today. I did receive it today so was a happy bunny in the end.

I know it's a week later than expected but I can't really understand ppl being so angry about this. Yes, the customer service has been dodgy to say the least but they've been swamped with orders due a website error apparently. Lots of ppl still getting the phone at a VERY good price. If not, ur being offered a full refund or an alternative. (including the ROKR which costs significantly more and is being offered at the same price) It's not that bad is it??????!

Yes all those complainers are really a bunch of ungrateful misers, Orange made a mistake, so what?, what did you expect getting a great phone for £13.50. They've done the decent thing and honoured the order, and I got a lovely Motorola Rokr through this morning for £13.50, and with the blanked of snow outside, and the lack of presents I received on the 25/12, it feels like Christmas has come late. And the best thing is, I got another two coming, as I ordered 3 :)

I got the ROKR E8 as a substitute and think my son is going to really, really pleased as he is used to having the naffest phone amongst his friends. He only really wanted a new one as his doesn't an MP3 players, so for £13.50 I have no complaints whatsoever about Orange. Like someone said earlier they didn't really have to honour this deal, so the fact that they have is a big thumbs up from me :thumbsup: I will write and thank them too!


Oh yes, and it came as a promotional pack with a set of EQ3 folding speakers worth over £20 too! :)

my motorola rokr arrived at last,but it doesnt work!!!
spent 1/2 an hour on phone , now got to wait for another one to arrive!!!
was a good offer if i ever get a working phone.

Oh no, I just got a massive invoice for the substitute ROKR E8 for £151.50!! Thank god I kept all my email correspondence from Orange in which they spelt out in capitals in the email that it would be £18.50 phew. Anyone else got an invoice?

Yes, I received one today aswell. They had told me on the phone that I would not pay anything extra. I doubt very much that they will try to take that as it was only £81 anyway. This must be for the value. lol. I'll keep an eye on my bank though!
Edit- just noticed the top half says paid with thanks.

god, just been to my on line bank statement, realised Orange took the £18.50 off me after saying they had none of the phones left. Now I am stumped as to what to do! That will teach me, I always forget to check my statements! I wonder if I can order the Motorola.

just rang C/S at Orange and ordered a Motorola! Supposed to be here by end of this week. Glad I checked the bank statement, I would have assumed money had been credited back. Very happy and grateful this thread was started or I would have been screw*d :)

Email Customer service’s, still waiting for a response , paided by credit card , all phones offered expensive (no discount) ?, orange mobile customer service very bad. Give them another week then contact my credit card company, they should have to pay compensation to every one who waited in for their phones :whistling:
