Its the best freeview version of Sky+ on the market IMO.

If you have kids its great. For just £6 pm you can add the kids pack (no contract or tie in) this gives you access to BT extensive library of kids programs and you can download them at a touch of a button.

My kids can pretty much watch any program in the library at any time they like, it great.

Its good having a greater selection of movies to rent as well, once you have the kids in bed on saturday night :-D

I've got it, it's not too bad actually, the control is a bit 1970's but you get used to it eventually.

I got it last week as was offered for free with a free 3 month subscription to a pack. Thought I would put it in my bedroom as have Sky+ downstairs and all channels. Ended up buying my 3rd new LCD tv in the last six months to fully benefit from it though.

I'm very impressed by it and fact the that you do not need it to be wired to the hub downstairs is great.

I've had it for over a year now (employee) and it's in my daughters room, as I have sky+ downstairs and wired into the bedroom with a magic eye, for free you can't really complain. I couldn't replace sky with it though. My box is very prone to lock ups, it does need to be connected to the hub via powerline or direct from the hub, it gets the EPG and on demand content this way. Used to be better when the BBC catch up service was free. The harddrive is all yours to use, not like sky+ that takes 1/2 the space for skys push on demand service.

I'm thinking of chucking in Sky for this (for various reasons!) but I really want the new home hub (I have the old white one).

Anyone know of any deals that will let me get one?

I've just spoken to BT and if I want the new hub, it will be £44.99 :(

It looks as if you get it with option 2, 3 or anywhere
