Has anyone seen any good mobile contract deals about?

Hi all.

I am shopping around for a good mobile phone contract.

At the moment I am getting 600 minutes a month and that's what I am after again, unfortunately O2 aren't being as good to me now as they were last year.

Just wondered if anyone had seen any good deals around? I don't mind chequeback deals and don't NEED a new phone so sim only deals would be cool too.

Thanks loads

They're a division of phones4u I think?

ok, thanks - just phoned carphone warehouse (who I am with now on O2) and they are now willing to give me another 12 months free on a sim only deal so will probably stay with them.

Used the deals I found on the websites as ammunition and they gave in!

On Thursday the best they would do me was £11odd a month on an 18 month contract and were positive that I wouldn't find a better deal elsewhere! :giggle:

Will leave rep shortly

I'm with O2 as well with CPW and due an upgrade, how many minutes and texts do you get and for how much? Is it automatic cashback or by redemption?

Thanks in advance

On my last upgrade they gave me 600 minutes and 500 texts on 12 months contract for free.

I have to pay £40 per month and then send my bill off every 3 months for a chequeback.

What you on?

Hi, Im on T-mobiles solo 20 and its on a monthly contract, sim only (28 days to cancel) and I get 500 minutes and unlimited texts for £20 a month. I think vodaphone do one that has 100 minutes more but not sure what the contract length is on that tho. Hope helps

Yeah I'm currently on same tariff, 600 mins and 500 texts on a 12 month contract for £40 / month.

I'll give them a ring on Monday.

How much are you actually paying then?

The first guy I spoke to INSISTED that £11.66 for 18 months was the very best I would be able to get out of them cos of credit crunch and that apparently

For ammunition when bargaining with CPW, phones4u are doing this deal which works out as £9odd a month for 12 months AND a phone.

HTH

As I say £40 / month but 12 months cashback via redemption on a 12 month contract so effectively nothing.

So did CPW only offer you 12 months free on an 18 month contract then?

Just given them a ring, well actually they phoned me because my contracts up very soon! Best they could do was 12 months free on an 18 month contract :-(

He didn't believe that you got 12 months free on a 12 month contract and told me that 12 months free on a 18 month contract was very rare... but they would say that wouldn't they

They definitely told me 12 month contract, first it was a 18 month contract until I phoned again with details of the better deal

When I get a spare minute I will phone and check and get back to you

I saw Quidco were offering £100 cashback on Vodafone contracts so was gonna take out that deal you showed me as it worked out as costing just £20 over a year plus you got a free phone with it. So I phoned O2 CPW up for a PAC number and the guy I spoke to said he was in the customer loyalty team and was willing to offer me what they gave me last year (12 months free on 12 month contract) or I could have 10 months free on a 12 month contract and could have a free phone. he could only offer this to me because I was "a loyal customer for 3 years and never missed a payment." Nothing to do with the fact that I was going to leave them then :p

Result anyway
